Kendells - Leeds. Went here on my first trip to Leeds. Was there on a packed Friday night. Top notch food and friendly service, reasonably price. Can't ask for much more.

Again we had a lovely meal - the resttaurant was busy and cheerful and great atmosphere- the staff were super. We started with wine and plunged into the heavenly french bread whilst negoticiating the blackboards - for which we were given opera glasses this time - in the past we've cruised the blackboards! We all had different starters and mains so saw (and tasted!) a wide selection of delicious food from home made pate to pink lamb to chicken in a creamy sauce with asparagus - all was delicious!

Booked here after reading reviews and can only endorse all the praise. Warm welcome from co-owner Sharon;lovely bistro ambience; helpful unobtrusive service and great choice of dishes from the blackboard. We were impressed by the flavours and the portion sizes in equal measure. Nouvelle cuisine doesn't get a look-in here. Highly recommended.

fantastic meal again, and the service was first class. 5 members of the party it was their first time visit and were all equally impressed with the food and venue.

We were recommended Kendells by a friend and decided to check it out on my wife's birthday. What a great place, the food was superb, the atmosphere lively without being obtrusive and the staff friendly without being in your face. We will definitely be going back. Loved it.

I have been to Kendells Bistro a few times now but this time I had to be out within the hour. The waitress said this would be OK. My order was quickly taken and despite no bread being served before, starters and main course were served very quickly. Goats cheese and beetroot starter was great - though I thought the sweet pastry would be better savoury. The chicken with mushrooms was well cooked, the sauce and the potatoes lovely. The house wine was nice too. Overall - delicious and good value
Kendell's is the best french place in town - better service (and food!) than the other french restaurants people often go to.
