the food was ok but very pricey for what we had. We both opted for an antipasta. I had a few shavings of beef with rocket and some parmesan with half a lemon. My friend had a few cherry tomatoes with a small slice of toasted bread, a bit of mozarrella and 2 slices of roasted aubergine. We both had a glass of white wine, 175ml. We shared a small bowl of olives and pickled onions while we waited for our food. We finished with a coffee each. I had a balck coffee, she a cappaccino. £37.40, sans tip.

Great meal - menu seems to have been updated and much better choice since we were last there so loads more choice. We were given a nice table window which is always better than the cafe type tables I despise. Very good service, meal and wine.

Centotre Edinburgh on Saturday (Festival time) was very busy - a good family favourite- quite expensive for what you get and service a bit slow but reliable place

The food was great, though there're not many options, specially if you don't like spicy food. The service was too slowly for me

Centotre restaurant in Edinburgh was a big disappointment! We ordered 2 pizzas which were soggy and under done.We sent them back to the chef only to see him roll his eyes at us.On their return they were still undercooked with the cheese swimming on the top.My pasta dish was fairly nice and the house red wine was deilicious ,but I am afraid, even tho we got an apology and a reduction on our bill,we will not be returning.

My first trip to Centrotre was a lovely experience. I was early for my table and there was not a problem, the staff were friendly and the food was excellent. What I especially liked was that many main courses could be ordered in starter portions, which suits me ideally. The lemon sorbet was a mountain, but tasted brilliant - can't wait to to back.
