not the first visit to Planet Spice and is not going to be the last. choice is a little more limited (last time we visited platet spice during one of their festivals) but still a great value with toptable's 50% off main courses.

My husband and I have eaten at Planet Spice in Croydon quite a few times and the food is always good and better than the usual curry places; it did not disappoint on this occasion, either.It was also good to see some 'new' dishes on the menu, including spicy fried whitebait, which I had and enjoyed. It wasn't busy, which was a shame. It should be!

Went for lunch mid week and although restaurant empty the atmosphere was still good. went with friends and they thought the food was excellent they will go back as will I

Planet Spice: tried out their latest seafood menu. The soft shell crab (wonderful!) and the "sea urchins" (vermicelli coated fish) were good to start. For main, the seafood biryani was a revelation; I normally find biryanis rather dry, but this was a beautifully moist risotto-style dish, even without the smoked aubergine raitha which finished it off perfectly. Another satisfying visit, and excellent value with the 50% off mains deal.

Pleasant modern decor with hanging baskets at this converted pub location. Goan cuisine prpared with well seasoned spices rather in contrast to the slop on ladled sauces so often passing as Indian food. Fish curry was the right blend of fire and sweet, the beef Xaculi was outstanding. The rice came in sealed clay pots keeing it warm between helpings. We will definately return - quite a find and with easy parking.

Planet Spice in Addington was not that busy on a Monday evening when we arrived but filled up a bit later. We had their special fish menu, which still qualified for TopTable discount. We liked both the sea bream and biryani as main courses, which the sea urchins and soft crab were interesting starters. The restaurant has an Indian white wine and the 3 of us happily drank 2 bottles. With water and service (attentive as always), we paid £85

Having been abroad for the past three months we were really lookiing forward to our meal at Planet Spice in Selsdon which was on Friday night. It was really worth waiting for, the food being superb and did not disappoint in anyway. Roll on the next one...
