The Casewith Rooms, Assington, Sudbury, Suffolk. What a gem of a find, hospitality at its best, great food, service atmosphere, to top of a lovely evening, a relaxing sleep in a clean room with a comfortable bed, ( and fresh milk for my early morning cuppa!1) What more can you ask for? My boyfriend and I came to the Case Restaurant with Rooms in Assington, on 1st Sept for his birthday, we were not disappointed. The rooms was great, everything there you could need, loved the little touches, fresh milk and home made biscuits. We had a superb meal, Barry is a great chef and everything is presented beautifully. We could nt fault it and Linda and Barry have everything off to a fine art, we are looking forward to another visit in not too distant future. Thanks for a wonderful time.

This was a top experience. Food was superb, and also quite generous. All ingredients were fresh and local. The owners are very proud (a family business) which gave a very welcoming atmosphere. This also made the service exceptional. The room was spacious, clean and opens into a very relaxing garden. Bathroom was very clean, sheets very clean, comfortable bed. all in all it was an exceptional experience. There is also free Wi-Fi and complimentary hot drinks in the room.The breakfast was very nice

Dined at The Case Restaurant with Rooms on a special offer including a room for the night which, although in a separate annex, was nevertheless appointed to a high standard with quality bathroom fittings and a comfortable bed. The Case serves good quality food, well presented in an attractive dining room with a decent, though short, wine list. It is best described as being without pretension (by which I mean friendly and relaxed) and excellent value. Good breakfast from local ingredients too.

Another wonderful and very memorable visit to The Case Restaurant with Rooms in Sudbury - this really deserves its Toptable award for best Hidden Gem. The food is consistently delicious and imaginative and the people who provide the service are genuinely warm and so helpful and caring. Brilliant idea to have overnight accommodation available to avoid driving home after drinking. Rooms were immaculate, very well equipped with top quality bedding and beautiful bathroom - everything worked well.

The Case Restaurant with Rooms is a converted pub, with chalet style accommodation behind the main building - rooms very clean,well presented, good quality toiletries,tv,a well stocked tea/coffee tray, attractive gardened area in front of chalet area. The staff are great and go out of their way to ensure you are happy. The home- cooked food at dinner is very nice, restaurant area attractive. A good base for visiting the surrounding villages.

We recently went to The Case at Assingdon, Suffolk. We have been on a couple of other occasions and as always we found the food and accommodation fabulous. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and will certainly visit again.

My husband & I have just returned from a meal & 1 night stay at The Case Restaurant & Rooms at Assington, Sudbury. I read the reviews and thought it was too good to be true. How wrong was I? Fantastic meal. Fantastic room. I guarantee you'll want to "adopt" Linda. She's a wonderful ray of sunshine and I wish I could put her in my pocket. Nothing's too much trouble. Barry cooks the best meal ever - chocolate cheesecake - heaven! Can't wait to visit again and will bring friends so what out Linda!

Excellent 1 night stay and meal at the Case Restaurant with rooms near Sudbury. The menu, based on fresh local ingredients, was well thought out, beautifully cooked and nicely presented. Breakfast was the best I've had in ages: fresh fruit with yoghurt and honey followed by a perfect boiled egg. Service was welcoming, freindly and efficient, and the room we stayed in was contemporary, comfortable and clean. Desrves to be much better known.
