Timo on Kensington High Street offered very good food and friendly service. My calamari was perfect. It's a pretty place and reasonably priced for the area'

Very enjoyable dinner at Timo. Quite quiet for a Saturday night although it was England's first World Cup match so perhaps that had something to do with it! Bread basket, prosecco and cheese plate all worth a special mention. Service delightful.

Timo was great! Varied menu woth lots of specials, and really tasty food with top-notch ingredients. Good wine list too,and we were able to take a risk with a wine we didn't know as the restaurant offered to change it if we didn't like it! Attentive service that was pitched just right, and ot overbearring. Highly recommended.

Timo Restaurant in London's Kensington High Street is an institution. The manager is most solicitous, and moved us to a more suitable table. Also suggested an excellent regional white to accompany the meal. Food was good without being spectacular, but ambience was everything, and we will go again

A truly excellent lunch at Timo Restaurant in Kensington High Street. My son and I enjoyed three delicious courses - particular mention for the beef ragout. Service was impeccable and the whole experience was just so friendly!

Good Italian but a bit pricey for what you get. I probably wouldn't go again

Overall: Good value, okay food - not great The other reviewers must be regulars as I think its current high average mark is overrated. I took a client but quickly discovered it lacks the wow factor to impress. The Brischetta did not come with enough toppings to fill the 3 pieces of toast! Next up was trout. It was tasty but there was not much of it. My guest asked for no peas with his main and it came swimming in them! Also, his starter was overloaded with garlic.

My first visit to Timo, chosen because of its location and reviews. The food was very good and we liked the ambience, but they have that all too common practice of continually topping up wine. I assume this is to try and sell another bottle and I find the practice patronising; it's the sort of thing that stops me returning to restaurants. I like my white wine to stay cool in the bottle not get warm in the glass - stop it!

Good service and good food. The only criticism I'd have is that both my friend and I found that our main courses were quite salty, other than that a lovely meal.
