About 5 Oceanos

Lisbon’s socialistas and beautiful bachelors converge on the waterfront neighbourhood of Doca de Santo Amaro Armazem to sip and be seen. The dockside promenade is filled with chichi cocktail bars, and 5 Oceanos restaurant is an ideal spot to meet friends for dinner before exploring the local nightlife. This sophisticated restaurant specialises in seafood and boasts a distinctive maritime-themed blue and white colour scheme and a giant outdoor terrace which commands sensational views of the marina. Signature dishes here include the fish soup and salmon carpaccio as well as the Portuguese-style salted cod baked in the oven with tomatoes, peppers and roasted potatoes. We also recommend the summery lemon sorbet for dessert.

5 Oceanos in Lisbon is an excellent fish restaurant in a stunning but noisy location underneath the Tagus bridge. Grilled seam bream was wonderfully fresh and flavoursome. We got caught out by the dish that came with the "cover charge", which we discovered was extra (but actually this is normal practice in Lisbon, so I wouldn't blame this particular restaurant). The restaurant was fully booked in contrast to the one next door, which seemed to be empty, so they are doing something right.

We were a party of 6 and had a good evening overall at 5 Oceanos. One thing we didn't like was to be shown large whole fish (we had three different ones, cooked in 3 different ways between us), then to receive a small amount of fileted fish each.......the same 3 whole large fish we were shown? I don't think so. Overall price for a 3 course meal with plenty of wine was about £50 each, so reasonable value all in all.

5 Oceans in Lisbon was a lovely dining experience. The staff were very friendly and the view over the harbour was lovely. The food was very rich but 100% delicious!
