About Galvin at Windows

Located high up on the 28th floor of the London Hilton on Park Lane, Galvin at Windows restaurant and bar has become one of the capital’s most talked about destination dining venues since its opening in 2006. Head Chef Andre Garrett and Chef Patron Chris Galvin have created seasonally inspired menus based around modern French haute cuisine which have now earned the restaurant its first, much deserved Michelin Star. Renowned for its peerless views over the capital, including iconic sites such as Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace, few restaurants are as deserving of that glittering star as Galvin at Windows where honest food and genuine hospitality are already a tradition after just a few short years.

Signature dish

Fillet of sea bream, ragout of haricot blanc and Morteau sausage, baby artichoke and bordelaise shallots.

Sample dishes

  • Duck and date consommé, beetroot and foie gras
  • Braised turbot, lobster mousseline, celeriac écrasée, trompette and light shellfish jus
  • Caramelised Williams pear tarte tatin, Calvados crème fraîche and caramel sauce (for two to share)

Headed to Galvin at Windows for a friends last hurrah leaving dinner. I couldn't think of a more suited location due to the views we had over London. We got the 3 courses for £35 and with 2 bottles of wine between the three of us we averaged £60 per head total with meal, wine & the 12.5% tip. Not bad considering the degustation menu starts at £85/head or the 3 course al la carte was £65. The food was lovely and the wait staff attentive, if not a bit stuffy nosed! Would recommend.

Excellent everything! Table with a view, superb quality food, good old fashioned unassuming service, impeccable standards across all aspects. I had the £35 three course dinner menu, whilst my friends had the £65 three course prestige menu, which had more choice and superior offer. We would all go back for the £85 tasting menu. Very highly recommended, a proper grown up, sophisticated experience.
