As usual, the food at The Partridge in Wallingford was very good. Also as usual, the service was very poor. We sat for at least 10 minutes before even being given menus, then another 20 minutes before our orders were taken. When the food finally came it was absolutely fine and the market menu offers good value, but 2 hours for lunch on a Friday seems excessive!

Great little local restaurant. We ate 3 great courses of food, which was resonably priced for the taste and quality. Service was good and a slight slip-up on our desert order was sorted out quickly and without fuss, so an awkward situation was avoided. We'll be coming back.

The Partridge Inn in Wallingford is a lovely place for a nice, chilled out meal. We got there early, so had the Market menu, which is all locally sourced fresh produce. Can't fault anything about this place, its lovely and clean, comfortable and they have an extensive wine selection. We both had the roqeufort souffle for the starter and it was perfect. Then I had a lamb shank which just fell off he bone and hubby had the pork loin with apple... The portions were just right too....
