About The Green Room

Dining at The Green Room in West Hampstead is an absolute delight. Run by Kelly O'Keefe – a former fashion stylist, and her Parisian restaurateur fiancée Laurent Richer, this chic boutique-style neighbourhood restaurant – with silver flock wallpaper, chandeliers and tan leather banquettes – is a fabulous addition to the West Hampstead dining scene. Richer previously worked at the Hotel de Crillon and Maze, and the menu is an assured collection of classic French and Italian recipes with a contemporary twist. We love the fillet of beef with Lyonnais potatoes, black peppercorn sauce and parsnip chips, and the fish stew packed with prawns, cod, mussels, langoustine and vegetables topped with pastry. The Green Room has an exceptional and affordable wine list.

Great food - very small starters but the mains are decent (particularly the risotto). Nice atmosphere although flocked wall paper alone does not make an atmosphere...

I took my boyfriend for his birthday just down the road to The Green Room, West Hampstead, lovely ambience with the intimate dining area upstairs, quite small. The £15 2 course meal was great value, we were so full after having the risotto that we couldn’t even think about trying the tempting desserts. Very attentive service and food was prompt, but we didn’t feel like we were being hurried.

Small, quirky, good atmosphere - very much west hampstead. Food was well presented just a little pricey if you don't go for the special deal. Would recommend though.
