About @Adam's Restaurant

Right on the seafront in Swansea’s famous Mumbles, @Adam’s Restaurant boasts spectacular sea views from its coolly contemporary dining room. If you’ve heard the name before it may be because local lass Catherine Zeta Jones popped in with husband Michael Douglas during a visit to her home town, but don’t think that @Adam’s has got A-list ideas above its station. No, this is very much a neighbourhood restaurant with a friendly, bustling feel, serving mainly local foodies their signature European meets British menu. With its affordable menu – just £18.95 for two courses every evening – and the option to bring your own wine (though the extensive wine list is excellent) you won’t need a Hollywood pay packet to enjoy an evening here either.

Sample dishes

  • Sautéed chicken livers served with mixed leaves and warm toast
  • Shank of welsh of lamb served with mashed potatoes and a red wine, orange and mint jus with a selection of vegetables (, £1.50 supplement)
  • Malibu crème brûlée

@Adam's Restaurant in Mumbles, Swansea is friendly and welcoming. On the night we ate there, they had a private party and sensibly put that large number in their own part of the restaurant. The area we sat in was quite basic, could have been improved by tablecloths, candles and chairs that didn't have dips in the cushions. The food was very good, a menu referred to 'home made' quite a bit and that wsa certainly true, if lacking a bit of polish. Best bit, you can take your own wine!

@Adam's restaurant, Mumbles, Swansea. Excellent service - pleasant, efficient and unobtrusive! The food was tasty and well presented - it was hot and arrived promptly. The option for taking one's own wine kept the price down too! We had a wonderful evening, the decor and ambience were relaxed and it was excellent value for money! We will return!

@Adam's Restaurant, Mumbles, Swansea. Very welcoming wonderful restaurant offering exceptional value for money. Although the mushroom Risotto was slightly under-seasoned, the other starters my co-diners had were all fantastic, particularly the prawns with Chilli Jam marinade which were apparently very tasty. Other delights included the slow cooked lamb and the sirloin steak which surprised everyone when it turned up since it was more like a Fillet Mignon. BYO policy is a nice touch too!
