Party & group booking

The Green’s ground floor area and first floor dining room are available for private hire and are well suited to birthday parties and celebratory gatherings. The venue can accommodate up to 150 people and each floor has its own private bar. The Green’s head chef will design a menu to suit your function, including canapé and buffet options.

About The Green

Since it opened in 2004, The Green has become a Clerkenwell landmark, popular with local residents and the trendy after-work crowd. The venue combines a ground floor bar and a first floor dining room to create the perfect mix of bustling city drinks spot and friendly neighbourhood eatery. The menu changes on a monthly basis and includes dishes like home-made chicken and mushroom pie; French bean, artichoke and butternut squash salad with pesto dressing; and brandy-flamed calves liver haché in bacon and mushroom sauce. The bar offers a wide range of draught lagers and a well chosen wine list, as well as tasty tapas and small plates. Why not pop in at the weekend for Saturday brunch or their legendary Sunday roasts?

The Green in Farringdon. Small, trendy restaurant with good selection on the menu. All dishes looked tasty and reasonably priced. Service was professional although no check back occurred once main arrived. Seating outside would be good in the summer evenings.

More of a pub than a restaurant, The Green has a good range of options and food was excellent - particularly the lamb. Only slight niggle was that sitting by the window on a hot evening meant we got the occasional waft of cigarette smoke but only a minor grumble.
