The main restaurant has 115 covers, some on big smart sofas, while the entire floor (bar and dining area) can fit around 400 guests. But that’s not all. Hidden beneath the piano bar is Mosquito; a decadent, feel-good club available for private hire for up to 300 people.

About The Living Room

Hugely popular Liverpool hangout and still one of the city’s best informal venues. Not particularly living room-like in style, if we’re honest, it nevertheless look impressive – expanses of dark wood, big windows, plants and candlelit round tables. At lunchtimes it’s an airy refuge for Victoria Street’s younger, smarter set; at night it’s full of lively clubbers, cocktail drinkers, and the occasional soap star. The atmosphere’s always great. Especially when live sets are performed on the white baby grand piano every night from 8.30pm. An eclectic range of food is prepared, presented and served with a level of care that brings people back again and again. Bestsellers include fillet steaks, crispy duck pancakes and fuss-free steak, ale and mushroom pie.

Signature dish

Fillet of pork wrapped in cured ham and smoked ham hock, with sweet and sour pork cheek.

Sample dishes

  • Maple roasted belly pork served on a salad of pak choi and buckwheat noodles, £5.75
  • 28-day aged British ribeye steak with peppercorn sauce and chips, £16.95
  • Lemon tart with crushed raspberries, £4.95

The newly refurbished Living Room Restaurant in Liverpool has been tastefully redecorated. The food was excellent for all three courses and our Canadian visitor was impressed with his choice of Bison for a main. Pre dinner cocktails and a good wine selection ensured we had an enjoyable experience at the Living Room. The bar staff were attentive to our needs checking that everything was to our liking. The waitress Naomi Rock was very professional and extremely courteous and friendly 1st Class

They didn't have our toptable reservation, but luckily had some free tables - so this was no problem. Food was superb, and the piano player added to the ambience, just a shame the football was playing (with no sound, thank goodness!)
