Le Chandon d'Or in Glasgow has a smart, but not too formal, dining room which takes you away from busy Glsagow. The tables are placed sufficiently far apart that you can have a provate conversation, but feel that you are still part of everything that is going on in the room. Good, attentive service and very tasty food make it an enjoyable experience.

I visited Le Chardon d'Or on the evening of Friday,13th August. It was my fourth visit to the restaurant and my least enjoyable. I think the restaurant is struggling to offer decent quality for the pre-theatre menu. There was limited choice and rather basic offerings. The service was all over the place that night. I was brought the wrong drink and the soup brought to me was not the one from the appropriate menu. Most worthy of criticism- we waited an enternity for our order to be taken.
