The husband-and-wife team who created the Olive Branch not only have dedication on their side, they also have experience: Stuart has been part of some of Edinburgh's top eateries, the Witchery, Tower, and Zinc. The ambience here is relaxed and informal, perfect for birthdays, celebrations, work wind-downs, and holiday meals. There's no private room, but up to 40 can be accommodated in the main dining room, an attractive modern bistro.

About The Olive Branch Bistro

Set on a lively corner where Edinburgh’s New Town meets boho Broughton, The Olive Branch Bistro is painted olive green, just so you won't miss it. The ambience here is informal and relaxed, but also friendly and romantic. With exposed-brick walls, smart modern bistro seating and huge windows through which you can watch the world go by, The Olive Branch Bistro is a favourite restaurant not only for lunch and dinner, but also weekend brunch. The Olive Branch Bistro’s European menu includes starter of charred smoked salmon with Parmesan, rocket and balsamic vinegar; main course of Crombies sausages with sweet potato mash and red pepper sauce, although you can also opt for a great burger; and dessert of killer banoffee crêpes. Very reasonable wines are on offer along with a super list of whiskies. The Olive Branch Bistro is all about relaxed, informal dining in the neighbourhood.

Another lovely meal at the Olive Branch! great atmosphere, wine and food. The summer fruit creme brûlée was especially good. Good value however was amazed to see a charge on the final bill for extra sugar we required for our coffee!! That's a first for us seasoned diners?!

The Olive Branch Bistro in Edinburgh was such a friendly venue.The food is sensibly priced and presented really well.Such good value for money.I would recommend it if you dont want to spend a fortune but want to enjoy well prepared and presented food.
