The Contented Vine's charming, airy, first-floor gallery is available for corporate and private parties of up to 40. Twenty can be sat at one table. The atmospheric 24-cover cellar and the secret garden (18 seated / 30 for drinks) it leads to are unique settings for a private lunch or candlelit dinner - perhaps dinner in the cellar with champagne in the garden first, or a barbecue in the lovely walled garden with a private tasting in the cellar? Menus can be tailored to your event. Good selection of Champagnes. The traditional, dark wood bar makes a nice, convenient spot for pre-dinner drinks.

About The Contented Vine

In the heart of Pimlico, the Contented Vine is a genuine local's brasserie where at least half the diners chatting around the candlelit tables on any given night are regulars. The heart of the place is, naturally, the main dining room, which has a convivial bar on one side. An English/European menu leans towards fresh, meaty mains, among which the spit roast free range chicken and house burger are constant favourites. Chefs are on view behind the glass screen and everything is freshly prepared. At least one starter, main and dessert are changed every week. More reasons to go? Friendly service and an award-winning international wine list with 20 wines sold by the glass. On Sundays, a great value roast is served between 12pm and 3pm. A reliably good neighborhood restaurant.

The Contented Vine is Pimlico is a great local restaurant. You'd never know if was there unless you knew the area. The food was a really good quality and full of seasonal items, the wine list was varied and full. The vibe is relaxed and comfortable. I will defintiely go back.

To celebrate moving to Pimlico, I took my parents to the Contented Vine for a quiet dinner. Clearly frequented mainly by locals, it had a warm, relaxed atmosphere. The menu was enjoyably limited - what they do, they do well. I had the goats cheese souffle followed by pork belly with deliciously crisp crackling. Within context, this is a great little find and I'll go again. However if you are looking for an event restaurant, I wouldn't go to Pimlico just to dine here.
