Party & group booking

The old port Barceloneta location makes this amazing restaurant a focal point for your group, meeting, business lunch, or friendly celebration, and the view and appointments of the restaurant itself make special occasions that much more unforgettable. There is a private room for your use, but we love the sweep of the big dining room, too. Dishes are Catalan but with a cosmopolitan flair too, rather like the clientele. Try starter of cream of potato with poached egg and Iranian caviar, main course of spiny lobster and Guinea fowl Catalan style stew. Your guests will want to linger.

About Torre d'Alta Mar

When you step out of the high-tech lift into the lobby of the Torre d'Alta Mar, 75 metres above the sea, you just may have an out-of-body moment. The 360 degree view is that spectacular, the sea and the city at your feet, the encircling hills in the distance. It has certainly attracted its share of architects, actors, and artists. But this high-end, luxury restaurant does everything in its power to distract you. The fittings are elegant and modern, the Catalan food (emphasis on fish) with its international influences right up there with the standards expected of a restaurant in Barcelona now. Dishes include starter of cod and lobster envelopes with black olive oil and mixed veg and main course of seabass with sauteed greens, shiitake, rice noodles, soya and sesame. Wines and service are very good, too. Remember to request a table by the window!

Signature dish

Baked turbot in top of bed of potatoes, artichoke and streaky bacon with his own sauce

Sample dishes

  • Snack
  • All cremat(typical Catalan sauce) with monkfish, Potato “ Ratte” and green beans from Kenya.
  • Dessert with glass of cava

I have just been to Barcelona for the weekend and booked a couple of restaurants before I went, the Torre d'Alta Mar restaurant is at the top of the cable car tower and has absolutely magnificant views of Barcelona and we had a window seat. The whole experience is lovely the staff are very knowledgable, we had the tasting menu it was a selection off the main menu and was delicious!! I would definately go back again and recomend this restaurant.

Torre d'Alta Mar certainly has the wow factor location on top of the cable car tower looking over Barcelona marina. My wife was afraid of heights but braved the lift to the amazing views that await you. The menu was clean and clear with a good careful choice of fish and meats. The fish dishes were excellent, lobster salad perfect and the sea bass cooked beautifully. Sadly desert lacked imagination and was a let down to the rest of the meal.It was busy early to watch the sun set over the city.
