Party & group booking

The main dining room at Stock is able to seat 180 people at most, or 200 standing – works well for weddings, private parties and corporate events. Smaller groups are offered the use of one of two private dining rooms. The first, a smart wood-panelled room, accommodates parties of 16 to 25. A little larger, the second holds 24 to 60 guests. Several buffet, canapé and set menus to choose from. The wines are bound to impress your guests – Stock’s selection has been voted the best Italian wine list in the UK. Good audio visual facilities. Occasional opera nights.

About Stock

This classy restaurant is widely recognised as one of Manchester’s best Italians. It occupies the fine Old Stock Exchange building whose magnificent 50-foot domed ceiling and original marble features create instant atmosphere. Sophisticated and relatively expensive, it’s cheaper at lunchtime when there are good fixed-price menus. Stock’s food reflects the best of southern Italian cooking – hearty, inventive and full of robust flavours. A starter of thinly-sliced two-month-aged boned rolled shoulder of pork served with buffalo mozzarella and spiced olives is a delicious example. Another is veal loin steak on a bed of spinach with gorgonzola and cream, perfectly matched with your pick from the award-winning wine list. Jazz duos, trios and quartets play to an appreciative audience on Friday nights from 8pm.

Stock, Manchester. Sympathetic use of old building. Good table - sometimes lone diners are fobbed off.Good bread and oil to nibble at, spaghetti, chilli, garlic, crayfish tails fiery and fab.Sea bass, spinach, dill good but spoilt by badly- cooked potato crust, completely unnecessary to the dish. Desserts too cakey/trifly for the warm day so had espresso and 15 yr vecchia romagna. Ambience would be good evenings but there was hardly anyone there at lunch. Nice to hear Italian.Good se

Stock Restaurant, Manchester - lovely suuroundings as you dine in the old stock exchange building. Service was very friendly, efficient without being intrusive. Food was absolutely excellent as was the wine. Would recommend for a special occasion.
