About Samsi

Manchester’s Samsi is a well established restaurant widely agreed to serve “the best Japanese food in the North West”, to quote the Manchester Metro. The basement is home to Samsi Express, a modern space designed for casual eating, and a colourful Japanese supermarket. Upstairs, traditional dugout style seating lends itself to slightly more formal dining. Here an exciting menu lists a huge range of dishes from every corner of Japan. The teriyaki dishes are highly recommended; the sushi fabulous. New dishes are frequently introduced. A weakening of the Japanese Yen has kept prices low, making the Samsi experience excellent value. You'll find the original Samsi in Cheshire. Samsi runs a buffet instead of the a la carte menu on Sunday lunch times.

Samsi Restaurant, Manchester, is for the value of money for the food you get. The food is nothing special for a Japanese meal and perhaps it needs to be more innovative with exquisite Japanese meals rather than typical binto box type food only. Big portions and felt too full at the end of a banquet meal.

Samsi, Japanese restaurant, city centre, Manchester. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Spacious airy room. The food was very good with the exception of the tempura which was soggy! I would certainly recommend it and return

Samsi is the best Japanese in Manchester and has delicious fresh ingredients: the sushi and beef are outstanding. The venue is pleasant and the staff functional, but the real star is the chef who cooks in full view of the restaurant.
