Party & group booking

Au Pied de Cochon has been a favourite gathering place for Parisians for more than fifty years and it retains the style and ambience of an even earlier era. The ambience is busy and buzzy and that French sort of serious-about-food formal-informality. It's relaxed for the diner, but pretty hectic for those serving. Your business or private party can make use of three lovely private spaces, seating from 50 to 60, on higher and higher floors. The French menu is enormous. Try starter of big frisée salad with lardons and golden croutons, main course of roast scallops with endive and saffron emulsion, and pud of traditional crème brûlée.

About Au Pied de Cochon

The ovens at Au Pied de Cochon were fired up in 1946 and they have never been turned off since. Au Pied de Cochon is a Paris institution, very near the Centre Pompidou, on your way from shopping the first arrondissement to the sightseeing the Marais. It is decorated with a profusion of Art Nouveau stylistic touches, like mirrors, fantastic chandeliers, paintings of lovely ladies. There is also an enticing terrace, and, as it's open 24/7, you can come in anytime for a meal and to watch the world go by. Menu is French. Try starter of oysters of several types and sizes, house special main course of pig's trotter stuffed with duck liver and pudding of babas au rhum.

6 ravenous travelling teenagers booked at the famous Parisian brasserie, Au Pied de Cochon, at the end of their Eurorail trip around European capitals. The food is mainly too expensive for teenagers but the Cochon Express menu for just over 16 euros was perfect. The team mostly plumped for the duck confit, which proved excellent, although the braver ones were rewarded with the 'very piggy' pigs' trotter terrine. All diners gave the food the thumbs up. 6 meals for 119 euros was great value.

Perfection. My parents and I ordered a Royal Platter which was absolutely exquisite, the selection of oysters were just perfect leaving a slight salty after taste in your palette! We then ordered the original onion soup which ive always wanted to try and loved it apart from the excessive amount of cheese. We also ordered the special trotter of the restaurant which left an amazing image to my parents 12 years ago. It was roasted perfectly! a great mixture of fat and meat.

We had a lovely evening at Au Pied de Cochon in Paris. The staff were friendly and it is a pleasant part of Paris to wander in the evening after supper.
