About Rhodes 24

Located atop Tower 42, the City of London’s tallest complete building, Rhodes 24 is the Michelin-starred brainchild of celebrity chef Gary Rhodes. Directly overlooking the Gherkin then out across the South Bank and beyond, Rhodes 24 with its floor to ceiling windows offers an unbeatable position from which to really appreciate the beautiful British capital. The smart, modern décor of the spacious, bright dining room is very much in keeping with the corporate environment of the building and its little surprise to find that the clientele is made up of a combination of city slickers loosening their ties and business diners doing deals as well as, of course, a great many foodie types attracted by the celebrity name and Michelin nod. None are disappointed, with a typically Rhodes-esque menu full of comforting British favourites done with precision and elegance.

Signature dish

Roasted monkfish tail with a smoked bacon hash, salsify and Trompette mushrooms.

Sample dishes

  • Sardines (warm sardines on toast, tomato and cucumber dressing), £10.50
  • Chicken (poached organic chicken with broad beans, peas, wild mushrooms and summer truffle), £29.50
  • Lemon (Lemon tart with English strawberry salad, strawberry and lemon sorbet), £8.95

Stunning location, great views, good food (although expensive as you'd expect for such a fine location). If you're feeling flush, want to impress or just want to feel a bit special, it's a great place to be.

Rhodes 24- London The ambience was warm, relaxed with no visible air of pretention. We were given the exact table I requested providing both myself and my girlfriend with fantastic views of the Gherkin and City beyond. Made to feel very welcome and the attentive staff were excellent throughout the evening. We both thought the food was fantastic, and the extensive wine menu was also superb. No complaints whatsoever- a fantastic meal incorporating a 'wow factor', would thoroughly recommend it
