About Savoir Faire

Savoire Faire - rarely has a restaurant been so perfectly named. Fresh food, good wine, mellow atmosphere, satisfied staff, value for money - this traditional French bistro knows how to please and over the past nine years it's perfected the art. The mouthwatering menu reads like that of any major London restaurant - rib eye steak served on a fromage frais pancake with a brandy and mushroom sauce, for example - apart from the prices. Although the menu changes every fortnight, the big sellers such as the traditional French bourguignon and tarte tatin are faithfully there for the savouring, much to the satisfaction of the regulars, many of them celebrities and actors from the local shows and plays.

Sample dishes

  • Grilled stuffed mushroom with bacon, parmesan, herbs and garlic
  • Rib eye steak with pepper sauce and gratin dauphinois
  • A selection of desserts are available.

Our meal at Savoir Faire felt like a little slice of France in London and even though the menu was quite small, it was the most delicious duck I have had for a long time! I just wish we'd had room for dessert too.

I went to Savoir Faire with a friend for dinner on a monday based on good top table reviews. I was not dissapointed. We were there on a monday but the upstairs was still bussling. Food was delicious, I can particularly recommend the duck with campari. It was very good value with a starter and maincourse for under £20, and puddings for £3.50. The service was great, quick and friendly and the atmosphere and decor fun and relaxed Great food, atmosphere and service, and very good value
