About Nahm

Europe’s very first Michelin starred Thai restaurant, Nahm offers an utterly incomparable experience. Situated within the high class Halkin hotel in upmarket Belgravia, Nahm is unlike any other Thai restaurant in London and quite possibly beyond. Chic settings are reminiscent perhaps of a modern Thai palace; antiqued gold pillars surround the dining room where simple richly toned wood is lifted with touches of regal deep red, just a suggestion of Nahm’s cuisine. An original and creative Thai experience, the menu is the work of Australian chef David Thompson who has put together dishes delicately spiced with his own artful hand to bring a flavour of Thailand in to the world of gourmet cuisine. A lunch menu based around Thai street food is an additional touch of genius.

Signature dish

Green curry of monkfish.

Nahm - Food was superb, the range of dishes and complexity of flavours put it well above any other Thai restaurant I've been too. Service was good an efficient. Only let down by having very much a hotel restaurant ambience, though I would still very much recommend a visit.

Upon arriving at Nahm we ordered 2 cocktails to start and waited 20 minutes before they came. Then we had the Nahm banquet for £60pp which was 5 dishes plus dessert. The dishes we enjoyed the most were the Scallop Salad and Quail Red Curry. The Relish with Trout was very spicy and the Razor Clams were simply served but very tasty. Overall it was a good dining experience, however the rice served with the meal was just in a bowl so got cold quickly and would have been better in a dish with a lid.

What a fabulous meal. Four of us all picked a different starter and main course so we covered quite a bit of the menu. We also had coconut cup cakes which were sensational. Each dish was unique and totally different to any Thai meal we'd ever had before. Highly recommended
