About Restaurant Tristan

Housed in a 16th Century building in the historic town of Horsham, Restaurant Tristan opened in 2008 and has been a firm favourite with local foodies ever since. Inside, original wooden beams contrast with contemporary style to create an intimate setting for lunch or dinner. Chef and Proprietor Tristan Mason worked in top restaurants like The Greenhouse and Mirabelle before becoming Head Chef at The Hare where he achieved his first Michelin Star. The menu at Restaurant Tristan is predominantly British with some creative French influences, with dishes like terrine of pheasant and turbot with truffle risotto taking centre stage. Ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible and the extensive wine list is designed to complete this truly unforgettable dining experience.

Restaurant Tristan in Horsham is an excellent place to dine, especially the two courses for £12 menu - chef's Amuse Bouche - delicious followed by confit of duck roulade filled with foie gras - also delicious. I had bream for my main course - my husband had chicken (menu limited to two choices each course).We were persuaded to have the souffle before the meal so the chef could prepare it and were delighted - it was heavenly passion fruit with a chocolate granite also out of this world

We were very pleased with our evening at Resataurant Tristan and thoroughly anjoyed the "Tasting Menu" together with the relevant wines and will definitely go back

Restaurant Tristan in Horsham was a real surprise for such a rural town, I went with 4 friends as a 63rd Birthday treat. The head waiter was very chatty and when he knew it was a birthday delivered a glass of good champagne to each of us. The Degustation was great food served very elegently. My favourite was the Lobster starter , but savoured each course. Loved the wine list and the only blot ( if there was one ) was a waiter who clearly had no idea on where wines came from yet thought he did !
