The contemporary and immaculately styled building is lit beautifully from outside, meaning you won’t just wander past without being tempted. We booked Trattoria and Soul for an evening meal. The staff were very welcoming. The restaurant was superbly presented, warm and cosy. There was a good selection on the menu, mainly meat and fish; may not be too appealing to vegaterian tastes. The food arrived promptly and was very nice, for my tastes the sauces were reduced a little too much. A simple but good selection of wines. Don't get worried if the waiting staff disappear, they cover the bar when staff are having a break. A good evening.

Trattoria and Soul is a well presented Italian restaurant near Lake Zurich. The varied menu includes traditional Italian dishes such as pasta & pizza (made in a proper pizza oven but unfortunately not wood-fired) as well as a range of specialty steak tartar items. We started with the bruschetta (very good) followed by veal medallions with fettucine served in a rich but flavoursome lemon cream sauce. Service was outstanding and very accommodating when additional unplanned guests arrived.
