Party & group booking

This large, airy restaurant has, unsurprisingly, played host to endless gatherings of media types. But as Lisbon’s Clube de Jornalistas is open to anyone, not just those with a way with words, why not make it the location for your personal or professional celebration? In the summer months, the patio makes for a beautiful evening setting too.

About Clube de Jornalistas

Journalists and eating out go hand in hand so Lisbon’s Clube de Jornalistas was a natural progression for local chef and owner Andre Magalhaes with his years of media experience. Packed out with not only journalists but diplomats, politicians and other well heeled types, the restaurant is set in a lovely 18th century building. Light and bright, Clube de Jornalistas is a fusion of old and new with exposed brick and huge flagstones combined with modern furniture while outside dining is a must in the cobbled courtyard, surrounded by trees and blue skies. Extremely good Mediterranean style food and an excellent wine list is served by Magalhaes, a leading light in the slow food movement and a talented wine writer.

Reviewer JOHN SMITH  -  grazer

We had a truly memorable lunch on a lovely June day in the garden of Clube de Jornalistas in Lisbon. We started with a delicious beef carpaccio and a perfectly fried slice of foie gras served on strips of apple and tender duck breast. Our main courses of salmon with a sesame seed crust with oriental vegetables and some beautifully flavoured pork maintained the same high standard. The intense chocolate dessert finished the meal perfectly. Our waiter was charming and very helpful. A real find.
