We had dinner at Alberts Table in Croydon on a busy Saturday and the word that comes to mind is excellent - the whole evening was a joy with service that was friendly, attentive (but not too) and efficient, whilst the food was varied and, as mentioned, excellent - the drinks/wine list of a manageable length - and all this enjoyed in a calm ambience. The whole was rounded off by a bill, that whilst not "cheap" was certainly fair - I highly recommend the restaurant .

Albert's Table - Croydon. Very good - nice relaxed decor, simple and proper with good service. Food quality excellent (portion sizes just right for a two or three course meal) with free canapés and rolls. Food style very elaborate so may not suit those who want simple food. Menu perhaps a little short (offered only one or two of each type of dish) but we were all very happy and would definitely go back.

Albert's Table was, as always, relaxing, friendly and very good value. Croydon is not the centre of the culinary world; if it was, you would have to pay almost double for this quality of food. An excellent choice is available on the set price menu, with vegetarian options that sound so good that I almost try them myself - but no - the meat is superbly cooked, and on this visit we both had fish that was equally as good. The wine list offers many interesting temptationsat very reasonable prices.
