Conveniently located between Knightsbridge and South Kensington, Racine is something of a legend on the London restaurant scene and over the years it has become well known for its consistently excellent French food and flawless service. The interior is simple, in a style reminiscent of traditional Parisian brasseries, with dark wood, leather banquettes and mirror-lined walls creating a clean and contemporary look. Chef and co-owner Henry Harris specialises in flavoursome, unpretentious dishes like skate with brown shrimps, capers and lemon; grilled rabbit with mustard sauce and smoked bacon; and the decadent côte de boeuf with sauce Bordelaise for two. A reasonably priced wine list, exquisite desserts and an intimate atmosphere make Racine an experience not to be missed.
