Party & group booking

The main restaurant has 115 covers, some on big smart sofas, while the entire floor (bar and dining area) can fit around 400 guests. (Tip: the top table is no. 24) But that’s not all. Hidden beneath the piano bar is Mosquito, a decadent, feel-good club available for private hire for up to 300 people.

We say…

Hugely popular Liverpool hangout and still one of the city’s best informal venues. Not particularly living room-like in style, if we’re honest, it nevertheless look impressive – expanses of dark wood, big windows, plants and candlelit round tables. At lunchtimes it’s an airy refuge for Victoria Street’s younger, smarter set; at night it’s full of lively clubbers, cocktail drinkers, and the occasional soap star. The atmosphere’s always great. Especially when live sets are performed on the white baby grand piano every night from 8.30. An eclectic range of food is prepared, presented and served with a level of care that brings people back again and again. Bestsellers include fillet steaks, crispy duck pancakes and fuss-free steak, ale and mushroom pie. With chips.

Sample dishes

  • Vine tomato soup with tapenade and basil fritters, spiked with aged balsamic
  • Pan-fried beef fillet medallions with white truffle oil pomme purée and wild mushroom vinaigrette
  • Banana and toffee crumble pudding with farmhouse vanilla ice cream

We went to The Living Room in Liverpool last weekend. Excellent venue! Such a good vibe, staff were really friendly and food was great. Not massively pricey either. Would highly recommend.

We dined at Living Room, Liverpool after we had been to a wedding fayre. As we arrived a little early we asked if we could be seated early. The guy asked us to take a seat and he would call us over, which he never did.It got to five past five so we asked if we could go to our table, the girl was quite surprised as she did not know we were there. The food was nice and served promptly, and it was quite busy.

Our meal in The Living Room, Liverpool was utterly fabulous. Tried purely due to the 50% off food offer but will definitely be back. Menu choice was exstensive and all three courses were delicious; highly recommend the Moules Frites! Service was friendly and attentive and cocktail menu had everything and more. A must for Liverpool city centre experience.
