    We say…

Koba is a very smart, modern and intriguing eastern restaurant in London. Handy for the Dominion Theatre, the British Museum, and all the booty of furniture-design-land around NoHo. Koba offers a lovely dining room with minimalist decor in a style that's very now. The Korean menu includes its speciality of table BBQ, as well as beautifully-presented dishes like Samsaek milssam(korean style wrapped pancakes with meat & vegetables stuffing) to start. Next go for the BBQ of Koba modeum gooi(grand assortment of meat, prawn & vegetables) or try something different such as yookhwei dolsot bibimbap(steam rice with raw beef & vegetables in a korean stone pot) or busut mandoo jeongol(mushroom casserole with dumpling & various mushrooms).

Went to Koba, London as part of a large group (11 people). Staff were very attentive and the food was great, with a wide variety of dishes - we had noodles, rice dishes and the korean barbeque between us. The barbeque is at the table so good fun. Plenty for vegetarians too. Starters are delicious but huge -good for sharing. Make sure you book a table, it was full by 7pm on a Wednesday.

Koba by Charlotte Street was actually very good. Have tried many of the other Koreans scattered round London and have found this to be well done and it offers interesting dishes over its rivals.one of the best service I have ever received in London,non-pretentious and friendly. My only criticism is the ventilation, we had BBQ! The Jellyfish was a little wet and sloppy but overall dishes were very good especially the Sundubu and the coarse filtered Rice wine! Definitely one to go back to.
