Party & group booking

A big eaterie, Peninsula Chinese has a hundred covers in the main restaurant, but over triple that many can be accommodated in the venue as a whole. No wonder, then, it specialises in wedding parties – there's even a separate set of menus for the Big Day. A function room holding up to a 100 people standing/80 seated can be split into two roughly evenly-sized VIP areas.

We say…

Take a detour on your way to the O2 and drop into Peninsula Chinese Restaurant. Like the bands that play nearby Peninsula has devote fans – many of them Chinese – ensuring this restaurant is full night after night. This bright, buzzy eaterie serves scrummily authentic Cantonese food from a menu as extensive as any in Chinatown. Everything arrives in generous, eat-me-now portions, from grilled dumpling starters to a crispy aromatic Szechuan style duck served whole with thin pancakes, salad and a sweet plum sauce. Lots of lobster and crab dishes, as well as beancurd and vegetable choices for non-meat eaters. Well worth a trip to Greenwich… And it won't break the bank.

Sample dishes

  • Fried squid with salt & pepper, £7.50
  • Sweet & sour chicken, £6.50
  • Deep fried ice cream, £3.20

Very nice place. We had our Christmas party there for a change to the normal turkey and it was nice. In the middle of nowhere and difficult to get to but worth the trip.

Great Food and Great Service as usual - spoilt by having some sort of religious meeting (with singing and preaching) next to us behind a screen - I don't go to a restaurant for religious indoctrination.

Reviewer JJ  -  diner

My partner and I had a lovely evening and dinner at the Peninsular last Saturday 13th Feb. The car park was over flowing and we worried we may have a long wait to be seated. To our surprise we gave our name, "Toptable" was mentioned by the staff and we were taken to our table there and then. The restaurant was very busy and we could see there were a quite a few people waiting to be seated. The staff were very professional and the food could not be faulted. Would dine there again.
